With that said, my first product review using my spankin' new camera will be on the CoverGirl LashBlast Volume.

Sometimes you just never now what you'll see at Costco. One day I was shopping for essentials as I transition to my new place. And like any other trip anywhere, you just seem to end up in the beauty section of a store. And what do you know, I was already out of mascara at that time, and mascara has presented itself... in a bulk of three.
Yes, Costco was selling the CoverGirl LashBlast Volume for $12.99 for all three of them. Yup, all one, two three. And even better when I found out there was a coupon out for the said mascara. That even sweetened the deal. That was pretty much enough convincing for me, and the mascara found the way in my cart.
Before I get to the nitty gritty of this product, here are some shots of my sad, bare, and lifeless eyelashes.
I guess I'm sorta kinda lucky that my eyes have lashes. They're thin but they're somewhat long. They're there as long as you get close to my face and stare at it. Everyone wants lushous lashes. They're lying if they say they don't. Mascara makes a difference in the world.
And here are some shots again to prove that point.
CoverGirl LashBlast Volume is OK at it's best. I guess this mascara would do in the meantime. I mean I do have two more tubes to go through. It lengthened my lashes a smidge more but nothing too dramatic. As far as the volume... meh... I've had better results with other mascaras. If you want to get some volume, you'd have to layer the crap out of your lashes, that ends up looking clumpy if you over do it giving you the spider legs look. Although if done right, you'd have some awesome batting eyelash power. Whenever I'm out and about, I always get asked if these are my real lashes. Some nights just wearing this mascara will suffice sans false lashes, and my peepers are looking pretty. Sometimes, it's just not cutting it for me. It really depends on how much you put. The one thing I didn't like about it though is how it weighs your curls down.
But, based on the pictures below, it is still better than going without it. At least my face looks alive and presentable with a touch of mascara, and a little eyeliner on my waterline. My quick fix to a dead and tired looking face. Easy squeezy, not much effort required.
And this is me trying so hard to look so cute -___-*. My eyes look kinda sorta bigger than usual. I almost look like I'm wearing circle lenses (but I'm not). And yes, I just woke up here, hence the bed head. Oh on a side note, how awesome are my earrings. I love, love them that I've been wearing them everyday as my main accessory.
CoverGirl LashBlast Volume is not exactly my favorite nor do I hate it. It just yields mediocre results. It didn't do much for me volume-wise, but it would for now.

Nice review! :) I feel the same way about this mascara. Not the best but not awful either.
ReplyDeleteyeah, I'm not really fond of lash blast either. I think that Lash Stiletto is better. :D ohhhh Love pictures that your new camera takes. very good!
