Lookbook: Fur and Chains + Review: GAP 1969 Ponte Five-Pocket Leggings
Last Sunday, the bf and I went to Little Tokyo to satisfy our Shabu Shabu cravings. I was glad that the weather was cool enough for me to wear this faux-fur vest again.

Lookbook: Inspired by the Boys + Review: Aldo Lapilio Loafers
I have been on a lookout for loafers. For some reason, I really like their look despite it having that masculine look and feel to it. It's kinda like my whole obsession with oxford shoes.

Lookbook: Good-bye Summer + Review: ASOS HONOR Two Part High Sandals
Last Friday officially marks the last day of summer and beginning of Fall. I've been over this heat wave that we've been having in SoCal for awhile and have been looking forward to cooler weather mid-way summer. I'm happy that the weather is getting a little cooler which means I can finally wear my Fall clothing which I shopped for a month ago.

Lookbook: Elevate + Makeup Tutorial: Nicki Minaj "Fly" Music Video Inspired Look
This past weekend was a friend's birthday and we all celebrated at Elevate Lounge in Downtown LA. It was my first time there, and I must say that it's one of the nicest lounge I've been to here in Los Angeles. Open windows on a 21st floor that overlooks the sky scrappers of LA on a summer night is a pretty sweet spot for me.

Wet 'N Wild 3-Pan Color Icon Palette (Review and Swatches)
So for the longest time, I've had these palettes stashed in my drawer. I took advantage of a previous Buy One Get One Free at my local Rite Aid by getting whatever palettes my hands can grab.
I have to admit that I was a little bit weary of trying these eyeshadows out. I have tried Wet N' Wild products before and I found them to be either too sheer or too chalky for my liking. So these palettes were definitely a sweet surprise when I found out that they were much better in quality than I had expected.

Last Sunday, my family and I took my mom to lunch for her birthday at The Stinking Rose. After lunch we decided to head out to Santa Monica at the 3rd Street Promenade for some shopping.
And who would've thought that day would turn out the way it did. After my brother shot some pictures for me to post on to this blog, I was approached by Work it, Berk who was also contributor for Refinery29!!!

Shopping: Steve Madden Shoe Sale + 30% Off
Sunday night and I find myself yet again doing some online shopping.
It almost slipped my mind that Steve Madden is having a sale up to 50% off on select shoes. Not to mention, they're also having a 30% off discount on all purchases with the code FALL30 which expires Tuesday, September 6! I almost missed out on the shoes I've had my eyes on.
Madee in Black Pony (on sale $79.95 (select colors); orig. $119.95; with code $55.97)
I originally wanted this style in leopard print which I've tried on in stores. As much as I loved the leopard print, it made more sense to me to get the black pony hair ones. I was thinking that I will be able to actually wear these shoes to work since my Sam Edelman patent flats has been worn to death (and has survived a dog chewing). I also really love the look, feel, and texture of the pony hair and I can cross out loafers off my list.
Westii in Leopard (on sale $69.95 (select colors); orig. $119.95; with code $48.97)
I have been lusting over Anh's (9to5chic) Miu Miu leopard heels ever since I saw it on her blog. I've been on a look-out for something similar that's not so painful for my wallet and on my soles. And then, I saw these leopard print wedges... on sale! Since these are wedges, I figured that they'll be way more comfortable to walk with. The reviews on the Steve Madden website seemed to say so too. I really wanted to get the black suede one as well, but sadly they no longer carry it in my size.
